STEP 1: WRITTEN REVIEW OF CHILDREN'S BOOKS

STEP 2: ON-LINE STORY MAP

STEP 4: DEVELOP A PLOT PITCH
Complete in writing areas 1-8 on the “Plot Pitch” handout.

STEP 5: STORY PITCH
  1. Pitch your plot to one of your peers.
  2. Collect written feedback for all eight of the “plot pitch peer questions” listed at the bottom of the Plot Pitch handout.

STEP 6: STORY BOARD
Sketch the story panels for your book. Each panel should have a rough sketch of the illustration and the text that you plan to use. Be sure to include a panel that has a working title and concept for the cover of your book.
Minimum of 14 pages.

STEP 7: HAVE YOUR STORY BOARD EDITED
  1. Collect evidence of peer editing from at least three peers.
  2. Have your story board edited by Mr. Wright

STEP 8: PRODUCTION OF THE FINAL DRAFT


STEP 9: PUBLIC READING AND SUBMISSION TO MR. WRIGHT
Print out a grading rubric and submit it with your final draft.
